Settling in a handier position than his usual running style, MAGICAL LAND travelled really well, with the winning horse managing to get first run on the field when skipping for home at the top of the straight. MAGICAL LAND was game in staying on for second position. The top two finishers from this $100 000 event gain automatic entry into the Country Cup Final race in two weeks and MAGICAL LAND will fancy his chances of turning the tables on the winner who will receive a winning penalty.
MAGICAL LAND went down by a short-head on two occasions at Meydan and is still looking for a first win for his ownership since being purchased in Dubai, the team will be hoping he cashes in on his overdue bit of luck on the big pay day at Flemington.
